Transport Project Collaborative Contracting
The Collaborative Contracting branch of Transport for NSW manages a suite of contracts that includes commercial mechanisms for risk sharing, and gainshare/painshare. This is in stark contrast to design and construct contracts, which are often referred to as hard dollar contracts. Many of the projects administered by this area are program and project alliances that total several billion dollars. Projects that are particularly suited to collaborative style contracts are ones that have a high degree of complexity and/or uncertainty in relation to scope, cost or schedule.
